Photobook  “Beijing – A Travel in Time”

In my second book I want to document the changes, which happened in Beijing in the past few years. Beijing today looks quite different than in 2001. But still, I can find the quiet and peaceful Hutongs in the middle of this busy and bustling metropole. Old and new is so close together – a phenomenon, I have not experienced in another country yet, at least not to that extreme. Beijing has been changing into a world city – with all its positive and negative aspects – and note that it has preserved a human face.

Photobook  “Between Two Worlds”

During the six years which I lived in China, I  spent much time exploring Beijing in all its different parts and tried to catch the various scenes of daily life with my camera. And slowly I started to understand that the daily life in Beijing is not far away from the daily life in Zurich, Switzerland.
The book “Between Two Worlds” is a  photographic work with black and white photos. It shows the differences and similarities of the two worlds, Beijing (China) and Zurich (Switzerland).
